The Timmy Foundation was founded in 1997 to channel resources to sustainable health projects in developing countries. The foundation is currently partnering with dynamic projects in six countries, with the vision of a world in which quality healthcare and education are available to all children.

Much Needed Medical Equipment Arrives in Xela, Guatemala

Doña Ana, a midwife and community leader in Xela, Guatemala, was presented with a baby scale and incubator when The Timmy Foundation visited her community again in May. The incubator, which is only the third in the region, was donated by St. Vincent Hospital. The baby scale was provided by Clarian North Hospital via our Butler University Chapter. This equipment, along with additional medical supplies, were flown to Guatemala City by local entrepreneur and friend of the Foundation Doug Moore.

Thank you to all those in The Timmy Foundation's network who helped make this possible!

Indiana University Chapter, Tufts University Chapter and The Timmy Foundation Raise $25,000 for Crossroads Ambulance

"It's a JMC 4X4 double cabin, diesel pickup, with a siren to come.  Multilock for security in the village, fendex undercoating to stop rust as the truck goes through the river so much, plastic liner and more bells and whistles." says Dr. Bob, our partner on the ground. Crossroads will also be adding benches and a canvas roof so people can be transported in the bed of the truck. This ambulance will allow our Crossroads intern to follow up with patients and transport those in need of additional care to the hospitals in Puerto Plata and Santo Domingo (up to 4 hours away).

Thank you to the creative fundraising teams at IU and Tufts for making this donation possible!

The Timmy Foundation Provides Tierra Nueva with $46,000 to Build a Pediatric and Neonatology Wing in South Quito

After our year-long fundrasing campaign The Timmy Foundation has reached it's goal of financing the construction of the Pediatric and Neonatology wing of Un Canto a la Vida Hospital...and then some! This brings the total amount of funding provided to Tierra Nueva this year to $70,000. The additional $24,000 ($2,000/month) went to subsidize the cost of follow-up care for our patients.

The next step will be equiping the hospital with the help of Indianapolis' own TriMedx Foundation.

Thank you to the all those who helped us reach this goal:

-Our University of Colorado Chapter
-Our Purdue University Chapter
-Our Davidson College Chapter
-Our High School Chapters at Brebeuf, Cathedral, Park Tudor and the International School of Indiana
-Mr. Tom Bumol and his coworkers at Eli Lilly and Co.
-And countless others!

The Timmy Foundation works to provide healthcare to underserved populations.  We do so in two ways:

We serve direct populations through medical brigades and support existing healthcare projects with money, medicine, supplies and equipment.

We understand that short term service is a temporary response to global health inequity, which is why the Foundation supplements its work in the field with assistance to our local partner organizations.  This enables our partner organizations to provide care all year round.

$18 sends a child to school for one year – including supplies, books, and uniform!

The Timmy Foundation has pledged $25,000 to purchase a medical transport for our partner organization, Crossroads.

$25 a month provides a child with enrollment in school, two meals a day, including any medical or psychological assistance on a daily basis.

The Timmy Foundation has pledged $46,000 to complete a neonatology and pediatric ward in Southern Quito.
